About the Holy Water...
Famous for its healing waters and divine miracles, the small town of Lourdes, France is a remarkable place that is full of spiritual energy.
According to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared to a young girl named Bernadette Soubirous in 1858. The apparitions led to Lourdes becoming a major site of religious pilgrimage and of miraculous healings.
The water that flows from the spring in the Grotto of Massabielle in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is free and available for everyone, with over 6 million visitors every year.
